The above knowledgebase article does not work if you are getting a 7017 on MWTRN table. The error indicates a corrupt index.

If you run RepairData, the error is not corrected.

If you run FindBadTables, it does correctly find the error, but it suggests you run MediUtils - Repair Practice Data to fix.

If you run MediUtils, you get the error "All Users Must Exit the Practice Data" and the error is not fixed.

If you edit the MWOPT table and turn off the option to auto-start Transaction Entry, you can startup Medisoft without errors and run File Maintenance to rebuild indexes, but when you click start you still get the error "All Users Must Exit the Practice Data" and the error is not fixed.

To correct the error, I copied an MWTRN.ADI file from the tutorial database and then I was able to startup Medisoft and rebuild indexes.

We used the last idea, but there Tutor DB was used for testing.

We created a new DB and then copied over the mwtrn.adi into the bad DB, did a FileM and all is well.

The error was on V15 SP1 NP:
They could log into Office Hours, but not Medisoft

1. The F7 function does not work with this utility. If you need to change your Medidata root folder, change that first by launching Medisoft with the F7 key depressed.
2. Make sure everyone is out of Medisoft prior to running this utility. The utility will return false positives if anyone is logged into Medisoft.
3. Look through the list of low priority items that this utility returns. Previous backup files can show up in the list that do not belong. This could be a good time to do a little house cleaning if you know the file does not belong.
