BEFORE upgrading from Medisoft 15 to 16, make sure you upgrade your Advantage Database from 9.0.x to 9.1.x:
Although Medisoft 16 has been a VERY stable release, as with any software, there are a few known issues. Until a service pack is released, here are some things to look out for:
New Color Scheme for Medisoft v16 Does not Work Well in Windows 7 or Vista
Steps to Resolve:
1. Install Medisoft Network Professional into a Windows 7 VPC with default Windows 7 Basic theme.
2. Launch Medisoft and open the Provider’s form (for example).
3. Click New. Form is largely unreadable, with black text on dark grey background.
Note: It is highly recommended to use the Classic Theme for Windows 7
4. To change the theme:
4.1. Go to the Start button on the lower left side of the screen
4.2. Select Control Panel
4.3. Click the Display icon
4.4. Select Classic from the drop down
