The Global Convert utility lets you select and convert multiple practices (version 10 and newer) in the same root directory to the current Medisoft version at once. You use this utility by first selecting practices to convert in a selection window. You can select one practice, hold down the CTRL key and select multiple practices, or even click the Select All button to select all practices in the root directory. Once you select practice to convert, you run the utility in the Global Convert window.

The time it takes to convert practices depends on the file size of the practices. Consider running this utility during non-business intensive periods.

To Convert Multiple Practices in a Directory at the Same Time

  1. On the Medisoft Utilities on the Utilities list, click Global Convert. The Global Convert window appears.

  2. Click Select Data. The Open Practice window appears.

  3. Option: To select one practice, click the name of the practice in the Open Practice window.

    Press and hold down the CTRL key and use the mouse pointer to select multiple practices.

    --OR--

    Click Select All to select all practices displayed in the window.

  4. Click OK.

  5. Click Start. The conversions runs and finishes converting the data. Click OK on the Information window.
