Convert Audit Records
The new auditing format and auditing engine does not support accessing auditing records from previous versions of Medisoft unless the audit records are converted to the new Medisoft auditing convention. Users that want to access this data in auditing reports generated from the new auditing engine can use the Convert Audit Records utility to convert retained audit records. Users can also convert audit records from previous versions to decrease backup file size and also decrease overall hard drive size to free up more memory.
Consider running this conversion utility during non-core hours since the conversion speed depends on overall data file size.
To Convert Audit Records

On the Utilities Tree click Convert Audit Records. The Warning – Be sure to backup your data window appears.

Click the Backup Data Now button to complete the data backup process. For data backup instruction see the topic To Back Up Data . Complete this process and go to step four.

Option: click the Continue w/o Backup button. The Reset Accounting window appears. The Convert Audit Records window appears.

Click the Start button. The utility completes the conversion. The Information window appears.

Click OK.
