Revenue Management 14-Day Updates

The current version of Revenue Management software contacts the website and looks for any new updates every 14 days. The customer can choose to check for updates or not to check for updates.

If updates are available, the Customer can choose to install the update or not to install the update.  To install the update, the following must happen:

  • The user must be logged in to the computer as the administrator.
  • Medisoft on the computer running the update on must be closed.
  • Revenue Management must be closed on all computers.
  • Revenue Management must then be updated on other computers that use it.

 

There are two different types of updates for Revenue Management:

  • Program Updates: Updates to the core Revenue Management software. This includes updates for Implementation Guides, Receivers, Communication Sessions, and Revenue Management processes.
  • Edits Updates: Updates to the Edits database for Revenue Management. This includes updated diagnosis codes, updated CPT/HCPC codes, common edit rules, CCI edits, global period updates, and Medicare Coverage Database updates.

Update Medisoft's Revenue Management:

  • Click START, then click PROGRAMS
  • Click Revenue Management
  • Click Check for Updates
  • Follow the directions on the update screens
  • REPEAT for each computer on the network that uses Revenue Managment

Revenue Management Update Tips:

  • The first time you install Revenue Management, there is sure to be an update.
  • If using Network Pro, once you update it on one computer, you MUST update it on the other computers that use it.
  • If using Network Pro, nobody else can be using RM when it's being updated.

 

 

Revenue Management Patch and Fixed Defects List for Medisoft


The latest patch for Revenue Management, Build 2.1610.11027.147 was released for Medisoft v16 on February 7th, 2010.


The patch will install automatically within your software at the next startup.

Following is the list of fixed defects in this RM patch:

  • 19690 - RM 1610 cannot currently send a non-person entity in loop 2310B.
  • 19699 - 2400 SV201-1 zz qualifier for inst claims
  • 19649 - Rev Mgmt updater should check to see if OH.exe and OHP.exe (Office Hours) are running before patching
  • 19740 - If EMC Extra2 has a value in it, it causes rejections for all RelayHealth customers
    19726 - RM1610 for Medisoft 16 currently cannot send CORF/Therapy claims due to broken mapping in the MS16 Inst Claims - CORF IGuide.

We have seen a few clients have trouble downloading the most recent Revenue Mangement patches.  It may be a local firewall issue, network problem, or Internet not working.  If you see the error below, you can manually download the patch.exe from the image below.  Save it to your desktop and run to install the update.
